Severstal’s steel output remains flat at 9.133 mln tns in Jan–Sep

MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- The steel output of Russia’s Severstal remained almost flat on the year at 9.133 million tonnes in January–September, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Cast iron output went up 3% on the year to 7.125 million tonnes in the period.

Consolidated sales of steel products remained flat at 8.503 million tonnes.

In July–September, steel output shrank 1% on the quarter to 3.032 million tonnes, while cast iron production went up 7% to 2.458 million tonnes. Consolidated sales of steel products stayed flat at 2.834 million tonnes.
